Staying in and around San Antonio, Ibiza: high-end to budget

Hotels new and old in the glorious west of Ibiza.

The low-down

There's a lot going for the west of Ibiza, most notably the beautiful and expansive natural bay of San Antonio and one of the most glorious sunsets around. Since only last year more and more new hotels are emerging, usually on the site of well-known friends and this year is no exception. This and hotels are generally upping their game in a bid to offer a better service to guests.

As well as all these hotel options, there is the fantastic nightlife of San Antonio, a huge range of water sports and other activities; countless boat trips doing either excursions or ferry crossings go to lots of places around the island. The food scene is ever changing too, with new eateries opening that are definitely more modern, with much more choice of good local food.

Below we have selected a range of hotels from higher end to budget and all points in between to help you have an amazing holiday when staying in San Antonio and San Antonio Bay.

All hotels start at less than €180 per night* for two people with budget hotels coming in at around an average of €80 per night. The west is where it's all at!

Upper end

From the resort of San Antonio to the resort of San Antonio Bay across the water, new hotels with a look that's perfect for sharing on social media are opening, sometimes to great fanfare. Accommodation overall is now offering more specially-curated entertainment, often with an arty twist as well as quality food offerings with many healthy and special diet options too.

Latin sparkle at the Cubanito Ibiza Suites

Just outside of San Antonio and near to the beach of Cala Gracio is the adults-only Little-Havana-themed Cubanito Ibiza Suites, launched in 2018. As well as an ambient Latin music soundtrack, you get the retro styling of ‘50s Cuba, an in-room Marshall sound system and a sexy rooftop bar, the Malecón. An uber-concierge service that can get you almost anything is one added extra that few would want to do without.

Close by is another new hotel, the 2018 Instagram sensation the Wi-Ki Woo, also adults-only and decked out in pastel pink and green with touches of gold. A gorgeous sun terrace and bar and restaurant food that's presided over by a chef with Michelin experience gives this place a notable edge. Gorgeous day beds to luxuriate on and fantastic panoramic bay views make this a great spot to stay.

If you are looking for more seclusion, there's Hostal la Torre, perched on the top of a rocky outcrop in a place called Cap Negret. Here, you really are living with the gods, with a bay vantage point that's just magical. Natural touches in the decor, like untreated wood and weathered driftwood lends the place ease and calm. For families, try the Fiesta Hotel Tanit, also near Cala Gracio, set in magical gardens. An all-inclusive offer means mealtimes are easy too.

Mid-range

Not everyone can afford to pay top end prices and the good news is that you don't have to. Mid-range hotels are also increasing the level of customer service, offering a wider range of facilities and are good on price.
