Martin Solveig rocks My House

Martin Solveig brings everyone together Wednesday nights at Pacha this summer.

Set in the legendary Pacha, there couldn't be a better venue to host an event full of iconic top chart classics. Ibiza is not just an island for the minimalist techno gurus. It is also a place of pure variety where you can find anything you desire. My House by Martin Solveig is a collection of guilty pleasure fun that has you singing along to every song.

The DJs took residence in the right-hand corner as you came into the main room after walking through the welcoming drinks lounge. Large luxurious palm trees dripped in glass raindrops rose in the middle of the scene. Beneath them, the dancers took position in white swimsuits wearing miniature clear raincoats and sunglasses. A storm in the jungle was brewing from the energy flying around the venue last night.

The Magician brought us into the early hours with all-around funky house, then making a snap drop into David Zowie's House Every Weekend. The crowd swooned at the 2015 hit. Nearly all members of the audience, with a reflection of front camera flash across their faces, sang along into their next Snapchat of the night.

The room was flooded with vibrant fuchsia pinks and electric blues as the crowd grew bigger with the tunes. Kungs eased into his set featuring another widely loved crowd pleaser, One Dance by Drake, which features the original song Do You Mind from British house music singer Kyla. An old school twist came from Kungs set, one which I did not expect featured in the form of Voulez-Vous by Abba. This was greeted with an intense reaction of enthusiastic screams. I have never heard an Abba song with such a heavy drop before, but I must admit, it definitely worked.

Then came the man of the hour. Martin Solveig welcomed us all to his house. Climbing up to stand in front of the DJ booth with a microphone, he took the time to thank his support acts. He then riled the crowd into a swell of woops and cheers before reminding us that, 'My house is your house.'

Solveig was the main attraction, and he certainly displayed why this is the case. His mixes hit all the perfect beat drops, as he threw in everything from Frank Ocean's Nikes to Azealia Bank's 212. The strobe lights were out in full force flickering in time with the blue white lasers that danced across the room. A highlight of course was the inclusion of his international hit Intoxicated created by Solveig and GTA. When this dropped, the whole room became alive jumping in excitement.

My House is a universal clubbing experience that anyone can enjoy. If you want to take the tracks you fell in love with over the radio, add a lux laser show, an air cannon and place it all within the walls of the stunning venue Pacha, this is the event for you.

With a line-up packing some heavy weight for the entire season, make sure you check this out. You can look forward to seeing sets from people such as Craig David. Coming off the high of his incredible comeback, be sure to see him play one of his more exclusive parties this summer. Riton, who brought us the 2016 top dance chart track Rinse & Repeat, will also be joining. Other artists confirmed include MK, Bondax, Jax Jones and many more.

Check out the calendar for your favourites. They are all bound to be there.
