Brett Gould / Drum Machine / Sola Records / 26 January 2018

This foreboding tech house track released on Solardo's imprint Sola delivers a hefty dose of percussive deliciousness all the way through. Devon James and Ant LaRock / Ghetto Style (Original Mix) / Soup Records / 19 January

This collaboration between DJ and producer Devon James and fellow US producer Ant LaRock brings us ominous raw tech house track Ghetto Style on Soup Records. A tad sinister and twisted, it is nonetheless captivating and ultimately even inspiring.

Pirupa / Wazzup / Elrow Music / 19 January

The second release for Elrow Music this year, Wazzup no doubt injects a hefty dose of madness in the dancefloor. The high-spirited and groovy tune by Italian DJ and producer Pirupa brings steady percussion and fun-loving vocals in this tech house cut. The tune stands as a great example of the label's and elrow's musical ethos of transforming any dancefloor into carnivalesque dancing madness.

Mindek / Snailer / Stashed Music / 19 January

New tech-leaning house duo Mindek bring a touch of tribal to this techno-fuelled tech house track. The hypnotic drum loop, sturdy rolling bass and minimal vocals build up an intricate tech sound. Gruff and raw, Snailer grows and morphs into a danceable tune but only after pounding you. The first on their debut EP for DJ S.K.T.'s Stashed Music, it is indeed promising.

Fideles / Cerchio / Exit Strategy / 26 January

Hot new tune by Italian duo Fideles rocked the dancefloors of Ibiza last summer. TOU, Solomun, Dixon, Âme, to name a few, all dropped it. Now Cerchio has finally been released on Exit Strategy. With elements of tension and suspense, this techno track indeed runs in a circle, as the title suggests (cerchio is circle in Italian), with loopy synths that progress throughout the tune adding drama to the dancefloor.

ANNA / Hidden Beauties / Kompakt / 26 January

Here is a massive belter for you. If blunt, hard-hitting techno is what you get off on, dive into ANNA's debut on Kompakt with A-side track Hidden Beauties. ANNA dropped it throughout 2017, including at the Resistance opening party at Privilege in her b2b with B.Traits and later on at her Paradise debut at DC10.

Darius Syrossian / Moxy / Hot Creations / 19 January

With solid beats and a remarkable break, Darius Syrossian brings us remarkable tech house jam Moxy on Hot Creations. After a four-year hiatus from Jamie Jones's label, the Do Not Sleep man makes it worth the wait. With rolling drums and a strong bassline, this fresh and crisp production stirs any dancefloor.

Like Mike / Memories (Original Mix) / Smash The House / 25 January

Here is a sentimental tune that shows a deeper side of one of the most renowned characters in dance music today. Tomorrowland star Michael Thivaios aka Like Mike, one half of Belgian duo with Dimitri Vegas, brings a personal touch to this giveaway solo piece. Lyric-led and melodic, this progressive house dance tune borders on melancholy with the intricate instrumental and cascading bassline of the wholehearted electronic sonnet.
