Top releases from February.

To get you through the final remnants of winter, here are our selections from last month's releases. With plenty of tracks from across electronic music styles, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the latest and greatest.

Audiojack | Inside My Head | Crosstown Rebels | 15 February

Fierce duo Audiojack kicks off the year with this banger on Crosstown Rebels. One of two dance floor throbbers, the title track from their Inside My Head EP seems destined to make an impact on Ibiza this summer. Deep and transfixing, the catchy vocal loop and pulsing beat hark back to '90s progressive track with dabs of industrial and random noises on a face-off with twisted piano. Sweet stuff.

Denis Horvat | Devlin | Diynamic | 15 February

Diynamic Music's Picture series serve as snapshots of significant artists' latest creative output. Now in its fifth instalment, the honours go to leading light Denis Horvat. The polished DJ and producer delivers across the spectrum, ranging from high-energy peak time anthems to melodic electronic ballads. A sonic voyage both at home and in the club, the EP makes it challenging to choose. Enter Devlin.

Mathame | Skywalking | Afterlife Records | 22 February

As we eagerly await news on this year's Afterlife residency here on Ibiza, here's the label's latest release. Italian duo Mathame is back on the label with two blissed out tunes. Melodic techno at its finest, Skywalking bridges a space between experimental and cinematic h. The tune has already been mesmerising dance floors as Tale Of Us has often played it.

Joseph Ashworth | Trooper | Life and Death | 8 February

London-based producer Joseph Ashworth brings us this yomping tune on DJ Tennis's Life and Death imprint. Traversing into a new sound for the producer, it is reminiscent of a military march - aptly named Trooper. Difficult to choose from the three interpretations of the tune, here's the original although both the unique Ron Trent and Margot Records head honcho Sebra Crus take it on.

Sebastien Leger | Lanarka | Lost & Found | 25 February

Debuting on Guy J's imprint Lost & Found, iconic French producer and leading electronic music expert brings us Lanarka. Already climbing the charts, the tune furthers Sebastien's eclectic and varied music style background, broadening his avant-garde repertoire. Light and uplifting, this is one heck of a tune.

Butch | Bepsi (wAFF remix) | Watergate Records | 18 February

First 2019 release from Watergate Records, the opening track Bepsi from Butch brings together structural percussion, ethnic vocal samples and a whole lot of groove. The wAFF remix turns the dance floor antics up a notch for quite the tech house cut.

Ben Sterling | The Energy | Hot Creations | 15 February

On Jamie Jones's Hot Creations, rising talent Ben Sterling brings us three powerful tracks on brand new EP The Energy. The title track overlays breathy vocals and a dynamic bassline, resulting in the ultimate peak-time banger reminiscent of those Paradise nights at DC10 from which the talented youngster stated he drew inspiration.

Black Coffee feat Msaki | Wish You Were Here (Damian Lazarus Reshape) | Ultra | 1 February

Damian Lazarus reinterprets Wish You Were Here by platinum-selling DJ and producer Black Coffee. The result is quite something. Enough said.

Set Mo | Surrender | Set Mo Records | 1 February

Amongst Australia's hardest working acts, Set Mo finally drop their debut album. The first single from 16-track LP, title track Surrender explores the power of surrendering to one's art. Via a spoken word sample from the trailblazing English musician Brian Eno and their signature hypnotic house sound, the tune sends shivers down your back from the opening notes.

Chris Carrier | Dream Nation | Kwench Records | 15 February

A true artist, the Parisian Chris Carrier has been ceaselessly releasing flawless house and techno for close to three decades now. Having released on major imprints, he now joins the ranks of Cassy's label Kwench Records with EP Positive Distractions. All three club tracks pack a hefty punch, including techno cut Dream Nation, a natural dance floor crusher.
