Get to know the cast of Boiler Room Ibiza at DC10

The underground streaming platform lands on Friday 26 July.

Putting the audience as the stars of the camera alongside their heroes, Boiler Room is the original underground streaming platform.

The concept is unique, shifting the dance floor to the background and, often, right on top of the performer. Sometimes resulting in hilarious scenes.

Boiler Room Ibiza has streamed some legendary sets from the white isle in the past: Carl Cox's private villa, the subterranean caves at Cova Santa and more recently Pacha on the eve of the 2019 season.

DC10 will easily be the biggest to date, when the cameras roll in on Friday 26 July. The underground clubbing mecca still carries an air of mystique and debauched hedonism.

Boiler Room Ibiza is set to feature a line-up consisting primarily of talent seldom found on these shores. To help, the Ibiza Spotlight club team has each selected an act to put under the microscope. Ahead of this monumental occasion, here are five sets you need to catch.

Willow

by Michael Tomlinson

Hailing from the realm of Manchester, Willow turns heads with every set she plays. Not one to conform to any single genre, her blends feature a menagerie of leftfield sounds that range from electro to minimal, techno to trip-hop.

2015 was the year her stock price increased with the release of Feel Me.

Willow might not be a regular fixture here yet, but her appearances on Ibiza are steadily rising.

Previously, she was a seasonal worker, plying her early DJ career out of Playa d'en Bossa. More recently, she was invited to play Circoloco's new year celebrations. Her return to DC10 for Boiler Room cannot be missed.

Carista

by Stephen Hunt

Encompassing disco, jazz and rap in addition to house music, Carista is proof that the Dutch scene spreads beyond the limits of Amsterdam. Rotterdam and, even less so, Utrecht are not immediately synonymous with electronic music, but Carista bucks that misconception.

Now holding court at Trouw successor De School whilst also commanding a slot on the city's dominant airwave Red Light Radio, Carista, as well as her influence, continues to grow. Her most recent accolade is an appearance at Junction 2. It will be great to have her back at DC10.

Lyzza

by Jo Dargie

Daring and fearless in her selections, Brazilian-born Lyzza emerged out of Amsterdam's thriving underground scene. The triple-threat DJ, producer and vocalist draws inspiration from everything from hip-hop and grime to alt-pop and industrial dance music.

Having built up her international presence in the alternative clubbing sphere, Lyzza is set to make her debut on Ibizan soil without compromising her fierce style of play. Experimental mixes are her forte, so expect the unexpected at Boiler Room Ibiza: DC10.

Dr Rubinstein

by Stephen Hunt

Well-travelled Russian, Dr Rubinstein has adopted the mantra of her Berlin base by shying away from PR spin and rarely providing media insight beyond her sets. Focusing exclusively on her music has clearly worked. Now she counts Berghain amongst her regular haunts.

Rubinstein's repertoire is techno and electro, with acid-leaning tendencies and the occasional meander to breakbeat territory. In summary, it's a far cry from what is usually found on Ibiza - and that's exactly why we're looking forward to her set so much.

Seth Troxler

by Sasha Wharton

Lastly, we turn to a DJ who needs little introduction...

A man of many talents, Seth Troxler has rightfully earned his status as one of electronic music's most outspoken and colourful personalities. The Detroit DJ often divides opinion, but that's also what we like about him.

The restaurant owner, art collector and musical oddball holds displays versatility and quirkiness across his portfolio, tagging his projects unmistakably his own. This is equally true of his sets.

He may be no stranger to Ibiza - or to DC10 - but what is guaranteed from Seth's sets is that whilst they may be distinctly his, no two will ever sound the same.
