Ibiza's First Classic Car Run of 2007

The roads round Ibiza's highest village, San Jose, were thronged with vintage and classic cars today as The Automobile Club of Ibiza held its first rally of the year.

Names from the past - Whippet, Oakland, Panhard - which no longer figure in today's motoring parlance, rubbed fenders with old versions of Citroens, Fiats, Cadillacs, and the pride of the British fleet, Jaguar and Triumph.

After a morning on show, the cars were driven off in a slow speed procession around San Jose's lanes before everyone went off for lunch.

The Automobile Club hold many similar events throughout the year, particularly on public holidays like Easter and local fiestas, so keep your eyes open if your in Ibiza on one of these occasions.
