Ibiza Pressure

Ever wondered how many people cram onto Ibiza in the busy height of the summer

Ever wondered how many people cram onto Ibiza in the busy height of the summer season? Well, thanks to a scientific measure called the Human Pressure Indicator we can tell you that Ibiza's busiest day people-wise was 13th August 2005. On that Saturday 2 years ago there were 297,240 people on the island, that's around three times more than the population!

It probably won't come as any surprise to hear that at the opposite end of the scale the days of the least people pressure are the Christmas holiday periods when thousands of islanders with family on the Spanish mainland go 'home.' In recent history 23rd December 1999 was the day with the fewest people here, and possibly the impending Millennium celebrations had some connection with this?
