Cycle sustainably

Eco pick

An increasingly popular way to go biking is on one of Coyma Sunride's electric bikes, which take up the slack when you don't want to peddle. There's a range of tours for groups or even solo travellers that will have you headed to the walled citadel of Ibiza Town, cycling through nature reserves and wending your way to the beach. We love the 100% Ibiza tour that' takes you right across the island. Whichever tour you choose, you are sure to return elated.

A countryside blast

Get off road for some real wind-in-your-hair exhilaration as you get to know the pretty countryside and dramatic coastline of Ibiza - all atop an E Move quad bike, buggy or classic Vespa scooter. Three hours of fabulous fun can be yours as you take in white-painted churches and houses, rich red earth fields and ancient irrigation systems. You'll also stop to take in magnificent coastal vistas, like the heart stopping Puertas del Cielo and Punta Galera. Sign me up now.

Food on the go

Ibiza Food Tours offers a fabulous food odyssey that will leave you with full tummies and great insight into how the locals eat, with live commentary from your guide all the way through. You'll be whisked from bakery to market as you learn about how fresh ingredients become great food. There are lots of samples on the way and you'll simply love the stop to try cured meats and wine. A must for the greedy gourmet.

Explore Ibiza's wild side

A terrific way to explore this island's wild side is on the Ibiza Jeep Safari. On these multilingual tours, you will see spectacular views of jagged coastline, steep cliffs and hidden beaches. Much of this is terrain is where few fear to tread and well off the tourist track. Everyone that does this safari comes back raving about it and it's no surprise that it's been voted Ibiza's best tour, three years in succession. Choose from two trips, a shorter one with a picnic and a longer one with a stop for lunch in a restaurant.

Assaulting adventure

You will be spoilt for choice at Acrobosc Ibiza Adventure Park, a superbly equipped assault course for both young and old. All you need to bring is perseverance and a sharp mental attitude for the many obstacles, zip lines, platforms and trampolines you will encounter in your path. You can choose one of three circuits of varying levels of difficulty with options for everyone from age three upwards. You'll get up to two and a half hours of adrenaline-filled fun as you make like a monkey amongst the trees.

Equine love

Ibiza Horse Valley, a charity, rescues abandoned and mistreated animals, giving them a second chance in life and offers you, the rider, a wonderfully immersive horse riding experience. Not only do you get to ride, you'll also tend for and feed your steed, before setting off on a four-hour trip taking you through the gorgeous countryside around San Juan. It's an experience you'll want to repeat again and again.

Take the train, avoid the strain

If you want to see sights the easy way, take the weight off your feet and get aboard the Tourist Train. These delightful tours will take you to gorgeous beaches, quaint villages, rolling countryside and lovely landmarks. Some also take you to hippie markets or caves with centuries old stalagmites. The tours go from family resorts such as Es Caná, Cala Llonga and Santa Eulalia and are easy to find. Just look for the train.
