Whether you´re sitting there feeling both fresh and smug for not giving into FOMO over the weekend, or absolutely hammered after chasing the sonic sauce, you´re going to want some of this news stuff. It´s a fairly big roundup whammy this week, with news piling in from a host of returning residencies and a couple of new bad boys in there with them.

1. IMS & Mixmag launch Visionaries contest

If you´re interest in dance music goes far beyond the dance floor itself, and you believe you have the skills to shape this beast of a global industry for the better, this one could be for you. The International Music Summit (IMS) and Mixmag have again teamed up to roll out their yearly Visionaries contest. The winner will travel round-trip to the island for IMS in May, stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and have access to all IMS-related events from 23 to 26 May—and yes that includes all the parties. Could that be you? Only one way to find out.

2. Flower Power's hedonistic gatherings return to Pacha

Flower Power is back. That might not be a huge surprise because we had no concerns that this hippie-dipped fiesta would be going anywhere, however, it was still a relief to get solid confirmation of its return. It´ll be Flower Power´s 37th season and Pacha celebrates 50 years in the business this summer. Huge milestones, and we can imagine that Flower Power knows how to give a little love to 1967 – the year it all began. DJ Piti will be back with all the decorative daises on Monday 29 May.

Ey up, we´ve a new ship in town. The IBZ Boat Party is getting ready to drop its anchor and sweep the Med in 2017, and by all accounts we´re in for a turbulent ride as it claims to be the kookiest of the lot. We´ve good reason to believe these bold claims as The IBZ Boat Party will be loaded with fancy dress boxes, an open bar, soundtracks comprised of Ibiza anthems and classics, and you´ll have your chance to hit those waves on its jet skis and banana boats. From Thursday 1 June, four times a week.

Papa Sven makes good choices, and as this will be his third consecutive year opening Heart Ibiza for the season, we´d suggest that this is a hot ticket. Friday 26 May is the date, and although we´re still waiting for his guest to be announced, with the previous two being Nils Frahm and the Wolfgang Haffner Trio, we´ve got an idea for what we can expect.

Previous guests to test CDLN´s VOID sound system include Solomun, Seth Troxler, Guy Gerber and Tini. Not bad, ey? Your ticket also includes two club nights instead of one. Bingo.

8. Mansion lands second season at Eden

The residency made its debut in San Antonio last summer, and as Mansion has secured a second season, we´ll state the obvious by saying it got the job done. In 2017 we´ll be seeing Mansion back at Eden with a 14-date residency, kicking off on Monday 12 June.
