The W.A.R. continues at battlefield Ibiza Rocks into a second season with leading men, and W.A.R. visionaries, Zane Lowe and Mark Ronson announced for the closing party on the 20th September. The pair were major players in realising the electronic alternative to Wednesdays Ibiza Rocks live music gigs, and played on several occasions in the parties debut season last year, absolutely destroying the place in the process.
During 16 weeks of high energy Friday evening parties focusing on an eclectic mix of electronic acts from the bass and house arenas, those of you attending will get to see such artists as Rudimental (DJ set), Redlight, Jacques Greene and Rocks Resident Doorly - who plays the new W.A.R. Ship pre-party as well as every Friday on warm up duties.
As the W.A.R team continue to strive to support new, up and coming talent, as they did with Disclosure and Rudimental last year, they have announced the following artists - Mak & Pasteman, Gorgon City ft Yasmin, Delta Heavy, Scruffizer, Toyboy & Robin, Mele, Roska and Wilkinson. Mak & Pasteman started out as Rocks Residents, like Doorly, but grew in popularity with their own BBC Radio 1Xtra show, amongst other great gigs this year.
Add this list of talented artists to the already announced residency from Example + DJ Wire, plus four Rinse FM gigs with TNGHT, Katy B, So Solid Crew, Skepta, Oneman, P Money and Zinc.
